We may well have met. I was on the first course in 86-88. Did some teaching on some later courses, then worked there as free-lance avid editor about 94(?). Your name seems familiar.
I would be interested in the Academy Class day, but I am supposed to be filming on the 25th and can"t make it - damnation!

Hi Barbara,
Glad to meet you. I have been a FCP editor since v5 having done the switch from Avid. Worked in television for over 20 years as editor, director and animator. Lived and worked in Italy for past 15 years but back to UK making a series of films for NHS. Eager to make contact with other users of FCP, pleased to see there is a local group.

Enjoyed the Supermeet in London on Friday, even though it was unusually quiet as far as FCPX went. Mike Horton was heard to say near the end :It is the future of editing , believe it or not" Obviously I do or I wouldn't still be using it.What was most notable was the demo of Resolve 10, from Blackmagic. They has a third party looking after their stall, and no camera for us to play with, as they were off at some bi trade fair. Resolve 10 is now almost a complete fully fledged NLE, and worth…See More
